Touch Yarns is a renowned knitting wool and DIY brand that was founded in Central Otago in 1991. Our yarns are produced by New Zealand mills using wool grown in New Zealand. We also produce our Touch luxury ranges by blending super soft merino with New Zealand possum fur and mohair.

Touch yarns are lovingly dyed and wound into skeins by us. You could say that every ball of yarn is hand crafted. Its an immensely gratifying process and we love what we do.

Anyone can knit beautiful traditional or modern and relevant garments for babies, themselves, or even home décor items. We have written our own Touch patterns and also work with internationally published designers.

Touch Yarns are sold in specialty stores all over the world with our flagship store right here in the historic village of Clyde.

We have hand picked gorgeous buttons, needles and fabrics to compliment our yarns and our friendly and knowledgeable team are here to help.

The Touch store in Clyde has become one of New Zealand’s most interesting giftware and design stores, offering contemporary pieces, furniture, home furnishings and fashion clothing.
